We've been eating pretty good on this tour, when we've taken the time to eat! It's been very busy since we left. No, really, we've taken plenty of time to eat. It's making my latest diet more difficult.
As you recall, AHQ had an engagement
(ha! How do you like that choice of words, Kon?!) until late Saturday
night. We maybe got home around 11:30 or so, then some of us had to pack,
then we met at 3 a.m. to leave for the airport. It was a rather short
night.

We flew into Raleigh-Durham sometime during the mid-afternoon local time.
Crystal and Benjamin Good picked us up and drove us to their place, where we had
some iced tea! Other Tapestry members were also trailing in, and by early
evening we started practicing for the first time. This was the first part
of a several day marathon rehearsal!

We practiced a lot. Monday morning, afternoon, and evening, let's see, pretty much all day! And Tuesday morning and afternoon. Then we drove that night to Gladys, VA (about an hour away) for our first program.

The Tapestry Tour Bus!
That first program went really well, and they had a wonderful meal for us afterwards!

A rather odd picture of us on the bus. Notice how happy I am in the distance.
I've gathered some random comments about Tapestry for your general interest.

My good bud (and your fellow Update subscriber) Josh Good.
Josh says, "The response to Tapestry has been overwhelming."

AHQ in familiar positions.
Kon says, "The tenors sure are hot."
Suzanne says, "It's been a blast, and I'm having lots of fun!"

Crystal is listening to my college Chamber Choir. She wants to do one of the songs we did, I don't remember what it's called but the bass part goes "doom ch-ch doom, doom doom ch-ch doom, doom doom ch-ch doom" etc.
Conrad says, "A really great weaving job!"
Merry says, "It's a dream come true, and I doubt that I'll ever have
something like this again. Just the people that are together, I
don't think this could ever be replicated."

Butch (Bradley) says (while on his cell phone), "Quit bothering me." (Editor's note: I put him up to that!)
Patrick says, "Our specialty is standing arrangements--about 3 new ones every night!"

Wednesday night in Catlett, VA.
Crystal says, "It couldn't get much better!"
