It's Over

My first year of graduate study is officially history. Yesterday we had two tests which were supposed to measure the knowledge and skills we presumably and hopefully accumulated over the last seven or eight months. Overall, the tests could have gone a lot worse. I can't say with any degree of certainty that I passed both of them, but I am cautiously optimistic.

Today I prepare for my teaching assignment, to begin on Monday.

Amy came to State College yesterday, which was a wonderful end-of-the-semester treat. It was tremendous to see her again, just to be with her for awhile. This weekend will be more of that, which makes me happy.
