It's happened to me too! :)
My favorite Dilbert joke went something like this:
Dilbert's girlfriend (to Dilbert, sitting in front of his computer): "You love your computer more than you love me."
Dilbert: "Do not."
Girlfriend: "Do too."
Dilbert: "Do not."
>Girlfriend exits room.<
Dilbert (to himself), "Please don't ask me about the laptop! Please don't ask me about the laptop!"
