Misterious

Now, the last couple of days there has been a thick mist that has settled down upon the sleepy Willamette Valley. I think it's cool. You can barely see to drive safely, it just hangs in the air like crustaceans suspended in a cup of water. It seems otherworldly in a way. I think if I struck off toward the woods at about 3 in the afternoon I would end up in a parallel world before too long (Maris, anyone? For you Odyssey fans). It's got the feeling of mystery.

If you do venture into the misty woods, beware; your eyes may turn odd colors.

OOOoooh!! That's the time when I get a strange urge to write, my empty pages call me from my room, begging me to write down the stories of mystery, of that strange feeling of suspense, of lands far away and long ago........ Just reading your description of the thick mist over your valley has me picturing a place in the middle of a wood, where the mist is laid as a heavy blanket muffling the sounds of those living there and hiding from your eyes the days they spend living there....... Hmmm, I'd better stop or I'll be writing another story before I know it.

There is a phenomenon I've been mulling over. What is there about mystery that calls to our hearts and energizes us for adventure? On the other hand, why are so many people not okay with the mystery of God?
