I can't think of too many guys off the top of my head who laugh in falsetto. Tom for one. That's about it. Except for me, I've started to.
So I was on the phone with some dude trying to extract a wild guess for a cost to implement a project, and since I was going to ask him to guess about the project, I laughed while I was starting my conversation with him.
He called it a giggle.
I don't think I like my laugh being called a giggle.

Yeah, makes you sound nervous, not necessarily manly, huh? Although, I know a few men who are definitely MEN and they definitely can giggle. Well, I think the one guy calls it, "Kittering." whatever.

I've done some intense research in regards to men deviating to the horrid, hated, and much degrading giggle-laugh. The deductions are this: The giggle-laugh is a malady that strikes young tenors. Some cases have been detected in a few baritones and leads, but rarely have any basses been known to fall to such depths. The only know cure is to immediately begin a transformation to Basshood. Notibly the deep Russian style bass's have the best results.

Hey, if a woman likes my "giggle" then it's all good, right? Come to think of it, it has been favorably commented on by at least one other female.
Darin (or should I say Dmitri?), I suggest huddling with Tom if you want to make fun of tenors! But then, without knowing you, I'd guess you either a tenor or a lead.
I have a suggestion By. No answers for Ag until she reveals her identity!
Ha ha!
Tom
Ach no. No tenor am I, nor am I a lead. I is a barily-tone. In our chorus I snooker people into believing I'm a bass, but that's merely a myth.
A question I have for you: Is the tenor/lead instead of 1st and 2nd tenor just a west coast thing or what? Mayhap I'm just behind the times.
Hmm, must be a Smucker thing. I know someone else who giggles....;)
The impression I get is 1st/2nd tenor is more traditional terminology among Mennonites. I don't know. Tom?
3 things. Having 1st & 2nd tenor confuses some of us poor blondes... Lead and tenor is so much less confusing!!! Also, one of the guys I know that giggles, well, when he sings, it's bass.... But he don't sing very well. And if ya'll are gonna pick on tenors, there's a reason for Tom to create a 'site. Ya'll can do it there!! Lauren
Yay for Lauren defending tenors.
So Tom when are you gonna create your own site?
I have a handful of sites already, plus I'm working on several more for other people/organizations. Time is a little short. But I do have a bunch of ideas, someday they will be implemented.
Tom
