Listening is a trait that I wish to develop as I get older.

One of my pastors, Arlen Krabill, is a particularly great listener. It feels so good to talk and know you have someone's full attention, even if you're saying things that would tend to elicit an immediate response.

It's a skill that's not really natural, especially if you aren't completely enthralled with what someone is saying. But listening is a key to effective communication, I believe.
