Our good friend Dale Kropf wrote three of the songs on our latest project--Get Out of the Boat, Tracing God's Hands, and Trusting in a God Who Cares. Dale has a gift for crafting a Scripturally-grounded thought-provoking lyric that really speaks to people. He also wrote the title song of our previous recording, Upon This Truth. Keep looking for more of Dale's songs in AHQ's repertoire!
We love to tackle the occasional barbershop arrangement, and this recording is no exception to that rule! We really enjoy singing Roger Payne's arrangement of Go Tell it on the Mountain. Roger is a prolific arranger with many works to his credit.
AHQ's strongest single musical influence would probably be Southern Gospel music. We've included the classic Cathedral song "Then Came the Morning" on this recording, as well as quartet standards from years gone by like "Over the Moon" and "When Morning Sweeps the Eastern Sky."
Spirituals have been another constant in AHQ's repertoire over the years. From that category, our latest recording offers "Deep River" and "In That Great Gettin' Up Morning."
